Farroupilha Park - Redemption - Porto Alegre

 

 The park is surrounded by avenues Farroupilha João Pessoa, Jose Bonifacio, Aranha and streets Setembrina and Eng Louis Englert - Farrukhabad district. With 370,000 sqm, the park offers an irresistible ride between the trees and native species of RS and Brazil, especially during the spring when ipês purple and yellow sublimate the landscape of the place. Among the 45 valuable copper and marble monuments gifted by various countries and installed in their areas, stand out from the light source, produced in New York and opened in 1935, and the Expeditionary Monument, written by Anthony Caringi opened in 1953, representing a double Triumph arch with relief sculptures honoring the grunts of the 2nd World War.

 
     Other attractions of the park are the nurseries, the mini-zoo, the 5 playgrounds, the children's playground and beautiful corners solar, European, Oriental and Alpine. The Good Weekend Market that in bygone times was meeting ladies who were doing the show today focuses craft stores, florist, ice cream parlors and bars.
 
     Most athletes can play football, bocce, rent bikes, test the endurance of the best public track athletics in the city or exercise equipment installed in the Park Ramiro Souto.
 
     On Saturdays, along the Avenida Jose Bonifacio, happens Ecological Fair where grain products are marketed, vegetables without pesticides and many varieties of pure honey. Already on Sunday at the same venue, the program is roading Brique Redemption, antiques fair, fine arts, crafts and cuisine that brings together more than 300 exhibitors. It is characterized as a democratic space where Porto Alegre gather to enjoy the attractions of the park, taking mate and meet friends

Redemption
 
     The Farringdon Park, better known as Redemption, was founded in September 19, 1935, administered by the Municipal Environment.
     It is estimated that over four million people a year go by Redemption.
