Zuka Soccer is committed to helping its players adapt to life in Brazil, both on and off the soccer pitch. Joel has adapted well, and is learning Portuguese simply by being with Brazilian teammates. At the same time, Zuka recognizes the need to help break down the language barrier even faster. In his case, we have been able to provide a qualified Portuguese/English teacher to provide him with classes at the club twice a week. Not only that, many of his teammates, who want to improve their English, have committed to studying with her as well. At Zuka Soccer, our concern is not only with what happens on the field; we are also committed to how the athlete is prepared to handle life away from training.
