The statue Laçador (or Monument to Laçador) is a monument in the city of Porto Alegre. It is the representation of traditionally pilchar gaucho (in costumes) and was modeled on the traditionalist Passion Côrtes. It was declared a historic site in 2001, and in 2007 it was transferred from its old location, the Largo do Fireman, The Site for Laçador, to allow construction of the viaduct Brizola.
The site has six Laçador The differentiated spaces with the colors of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in four square feet in area. The statue stands on a higher place, called the Coxilha Laçador. For the construction of The Ranch Laçador invested a million dollars, with the intention of highlighting the gaucho tradition and folklore, as the statue remains visible to all people arriving in Porto Alegre BR-116, or moving the airport to the city center.
