Exclusive interview with Canadian Joel

1 - After one month in Brazil how are you feeling? Have you adapted well?
JOEL: I´m feeling great not only mentally but physically as well. It was not very hard to adapt to living at Pedra Branca at all. The coaches helped me settle in and made sure that all my needs were taken care of. Most importantly though, the players welcomed me with open arms. It´s good that the coaches helped me, but the players are who I am spending the most time with and they make sure that time is enjoyable.

2-Talk a bit about the white stone fc
JOEL:Pedra Branca is a very well organized and run club. They make sure that they look after players when they´re training or when they´re injured. The physiotherapy department does an excellent job of restoring players and making sure that they don´t jump back in too quickly. The ood is also great. Players get lots of carbs and protein which are essential for maintaining an athletes body. There´s much more to say, but it would take far too long to go into all the details,,,,

4-talk a little about Brazil and the colleagues at the club Pedra Branca FC
JOEL:The Brazilian culture is very pleasant. The people are very welcoming and willing to help out others who are in need. The coaches and heads at Pedra Branca go out of their way to make sure that everything is well with new players and that they are settling in well.

5-After one month in Brazil do you feel you are evolving as a player?
JOE;Yes I feel that I have improved a lot. At Pedra Branca you train everyday with players that love the game and are willing to work hard to become the best players they can be. When you are training nd competing with these players you cannot help but improve and grow as a player.
6-What are your plans for the future?
JOEL;If everything goes well and I am able to stay at Pedra Branca for some time that would be great. But if I´m not able to I may go back to Canada and play with Toronto FC or look at other options I might have. In the long run I just want to be the best player I can be playing the highest level of futebol I possibly can.

7-talk a little about the Fabio Santos president the zuka soccer and about Kevin De Serpa president the ginga soccer (canada).

Kevin is a great coach and really knows what he´s talking about when it comes to Futebol. I´m very glad for the opportunity that he set up for me in Brazil as well as the training he gave me while I was in Canada. The fact that Kevin and Fabio know each other also really helped. Fabio helped out a lot when my dad and I came to Porto Allegre and has continued to help me out in any ways he can.
